So Dale has set out to help the community instead - linking up with Vulnerable Citizen Support C.I.C in Leeds and donating hundreds of meals.

The charity aims to help the most destitute people in society.

They provide food parcels to struggling individuals and families and assist in finding accommodation for anybody who needs it.

Their slogan is "Homeless Not Helpless".

Dale told the YEP he was in a "position where we can help people" with warm food and weekly meals.

His act of generosity has been praised across social media.

Dale said: "We see the situation now that the country is in, it’s hard to get by as it is. We feel as an individual you are only two bad decisions or couple strokes of bad luck away from been homeless yourself.

"We at D’s meal prep are in position where we can help people with warm food and weekly meals, so why not. It’s an opportunity to help others and also humble us. I’ve always wanted to give back to less fortunate and see results on changing people lifes that’s why we started D’s meal prep up to help others have health benefits.

"Hayden and everyone down at vulnerable citizens are the real hero’s, helping & changing lifes day in day out.

"We just want to help them on that journey. We know it’s hard for donations and funding so we want to take a little bit of the work load of them."

The Yorkshire Evening Post recently reported on the story of Josh Ellis - a former cocaine addict who was more than 40 days clean due to the support of the charity.

He has also been fed by meals donated by Dale.

Dale added: "Josh Ellis is proof that people can change and that Hayden & vulnerable citizen support will do anything in there power to help them. There guidance is unbelievable. Josh Ellis should be so proud of him self.

"Thanks from the whole of Leeds and me and the team at D’s meal prep to the Vulnerable citizen support team, you are inspiring and amazing people."

Hayden Lee - leader of the charity group - said "having Ds meal prep and Dale Spink on board" helps the charity give healthier meals to people in need.
