"Tomorrow is my son's funeral and at the moment we can't get out.

"Have we a farmer on here who could clear the road for us?

"I will be devastated if we can't get there."

However, offers of help quickly flooded in and a man with a tractor has offered to save the day and get Anita to the funeral.

Anita, speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post, said she wanted to thank the community.

She said: "The people of Gildersome have stepped up."

"I cannot thank the people enough.

"The offers came in abundance.

"A man is coming to help out with a tractor."

Anita said the response had been amazing.

"I want him to get a mention."
