Resilience and our ability to keep cool heads amongst chaos have been tested more than ever.

In the swirling uncertainty during these difficult times, our ability to stay calm and strong has been pushed to the limit.

While her dad, Leigh, was suffering difficulties breathing on the telephone to a 999 operative, cool-headed Ruby and her brother Jack, 10, showed incredible bravery by stepping in to lead the call and keep their dad calm.

Ruby had just received online training on how to administer CPR through her school, Garforth Academy, and said she kept calm by reminding herself that help was on the way.

Leigh was later diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (AF), a condition which causes an irregular and often fast heartbeat.

We could all learn a lesson in resilience from brave Ruby and her cool head.
