He called on others who were struggling financially or emotionally to replicate the woman's post and reach out, with hundreds of Leeds residents offering help on the original post.
Sam's Facebook post read: "Some of you might have seen a post this morning from a young lady asking which food banks were open as she's struggling at moment.
"I cannot imagine how much guts it must have taken to ask for help on a public forum but I'm pleased to say I've just got back from delivering her a supermarket shop which should last her a 7 - 10 days.

"If you're struggling financially or emotionally please make you sure you ask for help, there's 100,000 + members of this group which I'm sure a few of us are always happy to help/support where we can."
Sam's act of kindness was shared hundreds of times on Sunday.
Leeds residents praised his attitude and were happy to see a positive outcome to the woman's post.
