Meanwhile, The Foundry’s sister venue The Beehive at Thorner – which was recently awarded a 5-star food hygiene rating – will serve an American-inspired three-course menu with a glass of champagne on arrival, as well as canapés including smoked cheese hush puppies, boneless confit chicken wings and barbecue prawns.

The main menu includes dishes such as brined barbecue chicken and St Louis treacle-glazed barbecue confit lamb – all served with truffle mac and cheese, jalapeño poppers, collard greens and a tabbouleh-style salad.

For dessert, diners can enjoy peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake served with caramelised bananas.

Matt said: “2019 has been a big year for us, from celebrating The Foundry’s countless awards, including a Michelin Plate, to launching The Beehive and being awarded a five star food hygiene rating.
