Running over the last nine months, the programme has seen the building brought to life with sound, windmills, performance, conversations and large-scale billboard interventions, which will all be showcased at this weekend’s events.

Marion Harrison said: “We asked the artists involved to think about the space, the neighbourhood it is part of, and the people who we hope will use it for years to come. The results have been inspiring, moving and thought-provoking and we’ve only scratched the surface of what Convention House could be as a space, and what it could offer to the people who live or work in the area surrounding it.”

The artists involved in ‘Episode 1 – Tomorrow is our permanent address’ are Laura Grace Ford, Alex De Little, Stuart Mellor, Baile Beyai, Ora Ataguba and Kamal Gamir Shahin (Sable

Radio), Ben Dalton with Burak Arikan, Dominic from Luton, Sophie Chapman and Kerri Jefferies, Jon Orlek, Marnie Simpson, Alfie Kungu, Jake Krushell and Marion Harrison.

Episode 1 has laid the foundations for the multi-use studio facilities that Convention House will offer – this is just the beginning and the future for it looks very exciting.”
