These are just some of the famous people who were born or raised in Leeds. How many do you know?

Singer Mel B, also known as Scary Spice from the Spice Girls, has made her mark in the performing world over the years, and shes proud to have hailed from the city of Leeds.
Born in Dewsbury, the two brothers both are among the most successful triathletes of their time, having won Olympic, World and national medals between them. They are also both graduates of the University of Leeds.

Famous chef Marco Pierre White was born and raised in Leeds. He attended Allerton Bywater High School, before deciding to train as a chef, initially at Hotel St George in Harrogate and then at the Box Tree in Ilkley.
Corinne Bailey Rae is a singer and songwriter from Leeds. She studied English Literature at the University of Leeds, and in February 2006, she became the fourth female British act in history to have her first album debut at number one.
Nicola Adams, from Leeds, became the first female Olympic boxing champion at London 2012.The boxer retained her Olympic gold medal at Rio in 2016, turned professional in 2017 and retired as the WBO world flyweight champion in 2019.
