21 fantastic pictures as Leeds runners descend on Roundhay Park for the Run Nation 10k and half marathon

Runners descended on a Leeds park this weekend as they took on a 10k and half marathon.

Organised by Run Nation, the event took place at Roundhay Park today (Sunday March 22). Runners could choose between the 10k and half in the park.

The 10k race consisted of one small lap followed by two larger laps, while the half marathon took runners on a journey of five larger laps through the park’s 700 acres of parkland, lakes, woodland and gardens.

Lucy Robinson, of Wakefield Harriers, won the female half marathon, while Jonathan Harding, of Goole Viking Striders, led the men’s race from start to finish.

Jack Woodward, of Manchester, won the 10k race, while Nathan Apps, of Meanwood, came second and Ty McIvor, of Richmond, finished in third place.

Our photographer Steve Riding was at the event to capture all the action.
