The charity homes the animals, some of which arrived as they could no longer be cared for by their previous owner, at a centre in East Ardsley.
Regardless of how they end up there, the animals are cared for until a new home can be found. The RSPCA also offers advice to people who already own pets but may be struggling to cope with the cost of food or healthcare.
This week, our round-up includes Babs, a lively and affectionate six-year-old staffy with a big personality and an even bigger smile.
Here are all of the cats and dogs currently being cared for at the centre that have not yet been matched up with the right owners –

7. Salem and Void
Salem, a seven-year-old, and Void, a 10-month-old, are two petite black Domestic Shorthairs with friendly, gentle temperaments. Previously from a busy home with many cats, they have grown in confidence at the centre and enjoy both playtime and companionship. They’re bonded and seek a quiet, loving home together, though they’d be comfortable with cat-savvy children aged 14 and older. | RSPCA

8. Billy
Five-year-old Billy loves nothing more than to be fussed over. He would love a new home where he can spend his days lounging around. He has had three homes up until now. Billy would prefer to be the only cat in the home. | RSPCA

9. Haggler
Haggler is a four-year-old Patterdale Terrier with a lively, energetic personality. He came to the RSPCA after a difficult past but has recovered well and is seeking an experienced, active home. Haggler thrives on exercise and would excel in activities like scent work. He needs an adult-only home without other pets but could enjoy dog-walking friends in time. | RSPCA

10. Freddie
Two-year-old Freddie is a sweet-natured and gentle Staffie who has been enjoying time in his foster home and can't wait to find his new family. They would need to commit to his training - and he would prefer a quieter home, but could live with older kids. | RSPCA

11. Harley
Harley is an 11-month-old Border Collie full of energy and intelligence. This petite young dog loves chasing toys and shows a natural herding instinct. Friendly and eager to learn, Harley enjoys meeting new people and thrives on mental stimulation, making him a great candidate for agility or scent work. He needs an active, experienced home with a large garden and ongoing training support. | RSPCA

12. Maple
Maple is a lively and loving four-month-old German Shepherd who, despite having had recent surgery, doesn’t let it slow her down. She’s bright, playful, and has already mastered several basic commands. Maple seeks an active, understanding family ready to continue her training. She could live with children and potentially another energetic dog who enjoys playtime as much as she does. | RSPCA
