This shocking catalogue of anti-social behaviour has blighted the lives of residents in Burley Park.

It is a sorry state of affairs that an injunction has now been imposed around the Kelsalls to tackle firework-related anti-social behaviour.

Bonfire Night should be a spectacle for families across the city to enjoy but instead is now leaving some residents too frightened to step beyond their front doors as dusk falls.

Thankfully they were unharmed but this incident could have had a very different outcome.

There is absolutely no place on the streets of Leeds for this type of reprehensible behaviour.

And it comes just a week after the Yorkshire Evening Post revealed the number of attacks on firefighters across the city - they say these acts of violence often intensify around Bonfire Night.

While the skies of Leeds look set to sparkle and shine this evening let’s make sure our city can marvel in the spectacle of November 5 without fear or unease.
