Why going green needs to start at home as Leeds recycling figures rise - the YEP says

New figures show the number of people in Leeds recycling in the city centre has tripled in the space of a year.

While this is an impressive feat there is still more work to do to ensure our city really embraces a true green approach.

It’s fantastic that new recycling points and new technology has been installed in the city centre, now is the time to look at how we can all play our part at home too.

It’s no surprise that green credentials and climate change go hand in hand.

Each of us has a collective responsibility in making sure we are aware of where we are putting our rubbish.

And now those in power need to ensure everyone has the opportunity to make that change - and that starts with our own recycling bins and the collections that go hand in hand to building a green future.
