Hide AdIt’s also one of the sectors that has been hardest hit since theatres were forced to close their doors, leading to a knock-on impact for all those who rely on the stage to make a living.
They have had to use the creativity that they are renowned for to reach out to communities in a different way amid the many restrictions.
Now Leeds Grand Theatre and Opera House Ltd and Leeds Theatre Trust Limited (Leeds Playhouse) are set to receive almost £4m from the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund.
This cash will be a welcome relief as theatres look to make tentative steps into the spotlight once again to ensure that this isn’t their final curtain call.
