Margaret Marshall has more than contributed to society over the decades.

The great-grandmother served her city as an ambulance driver during World War Two and has been a popular community champion in Roundhay for many years.

But the question today is what is her country doing for her during this battle against Covid? The answer is simple: making her wait for a phone call about getting the vaccine.

Around 40,000 people in Leeds have had the jab and her family still don’t know what’s happening.

As part of our clarion call yesterday we asked the Government for clarity on its messaging around vaccines.

We’re also calling on the PM to make sure that vaccine sites are within 10 minutes of homes - rather than 10 miles away - to protect our vulnerable.
