We have to throw a lifeline to vital charities who support our city's families - the YEP says

Charities across the contry are facing an uncertain future as the impact of Covid continues to be felt.

Fundraising events have been cancelled and now they look to other streams of income to raise vital cash to sustain their life-changing services.

Among them is PhysCap – founded to support disabled children in Yorkshire.

Families like little Tilly West’s know first hand what a difference its support can make to their lives.

The four-year-old, who suffers from Rett Syndrome, cannot stand upright or take a step in her home without the £3,500 walker bought by the 50-year-old charity.

This donation has given Tilly the greatest gift of all – her independence and the chance to play with her sister Thea.

And for families like Tilly’s, the support PhysCap offers is a lifeline.
