Leeds is at its best when it puts on a united front - the YEP says

West Yorkshire’s leaders last night confirmed our county will move into Tier 3 on Monday.

It comes as health chiefs warned infections had begun to spread to older age groups, which could mean more of a strain on hospitals and the NHS.

Leeds is renowned for being a strong, resilient city and once again we must all come together.

Put simply, this is a matter of public health and we have to follow the new rules to help others.

Many of us are feeling tired and frustrated, but this is about protecting our families, friends, neighbours and colleagues.

It is also vital that businesses get the correct support to protect their livelihoods in the days and weeks to come.

Leeds is at its best when it puts on a united front – but we must not underestimate the impact this latest challenge will have on each of us.
