It is not too late to accept chemists’ help - the YEP says

The Yorkshire Evening Post has, ever since a vaccine became available in the fight against coronavirus, been calling for local chemists to be heard.

So much so that we, alongside our sister titles across the country, launched a petition to gain public support for that call.

Our petition was rejected by Parliament, and so we were forced to launch it elsewhere.

Now, our Shot In The Arm campaign petition has received over 120,000 signatures, indicating that despite Parliament rejecting the idea, the public wants to see it happen.

You would expect nothing less from the pharmacists who live and work alongside all of us – they have been desperate to help in the national effort to save lives.

Local pharmacists know their patients just like GPs know their patients.

The trust is there for all to see.

But, it is not too late.

So once again, we call on Government to accept the offer of local chemists’ help – it is not too late.
