Hope on horizon as Leeds businesses braced for busy weekend - YEP Comment

There is hope on the horizon for businesses in Leeds, as they prepare for what could be the high street’s busiest weekend of the year.

From Monday this week, hospitality venues across the country were allowed to reopen their doors to seat customers inside for the first time in 2021, as part of the Prime Minister’s roadmap out of lockdown.

And business leaders have now said that it has been a “significant step” towards recovery.

While footfall has not fully recovered yet, they said there had been a surge in bookings since venues got the go-ahead to reopen.

And so it is truly fantastic to see that, for the first time in a long time, the industry is looking optimistically towards the future.
