Home is where the heart is, so how do we get housing needs right for a city like Leeds? - The YEP says

So how do you make sure that every single person living in this city has somewhere safe and warm they can call home?

That is the question the Yorkshire Evening Post poses this week as our we start a series of special reports looking at the challenges for housing a city the size of Leeds.

Some are locked into Generation Rent where the aspiration to own their home is nothing but a pipe dream.

Whereas communities are springing up looking at alternative living through co-housing projects.

And this is all tempered against a backdrop of tackling the city’s climate emergency.

Home is where the heart is - so we need to make sure our city gets it right.
