Have A Heart: Why we're supporting the Leeds Children's Heart Surgery Fund's life changing work

The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund has provided vital funding to support the work of the dedicated team at the Congenital Heart Unit based at Leeds General Infirmary.

But in order to ensure the unit remains a world class centre of excellence the charity has set itself an ambitious fundraising target of nearly £1m this year.

And it is calling on you to dig deep to help provide a lifeline to the families who have come to rely on the team and its work.

The money will go towards cutting edge medical equipment, such as the ground-breaking baby pod incubator, through to supporting accommodation so families can stay together during treatment.

The unit’s impact has been profound on the lives of those it has touched over the generations.
