It’s time for the furlough scheme to be wound up.
When it was needed at the height of the pandemic, it did its job.
But it’s crazy to still have millions on furlough.
Those who say they are too scared to return to work don’t appear to be worried about shopping or having days out at the beach.
Telling furloughed workers to go back to work is not just important for the economy, but for their own mental health.
Shirking is not the British character.
