Danny Malin: My top 3 restaurants for a steak in West Yorkshire - including one of the best I've ever tried
When I go out to eat I rarely order a steak.
After working in a butcher’s shop I am often disappointed with the quality of the meat.

That said, if I do fancy one I head to Habbibis in Leeds for a full meat feast, or Estabulo, which is carved off the skewer.
I recently tried the chain Miller & Carter and their steak was nice but felt it was expensive for what it was.
On my Danny Vs Food YouTube channel people kept recommending Three Flames just off junction 40 of the M1.
As it’s a restaurant, for this episode I sat inside.
Everyone raves about their onion flower so I had to try that. I also ordered the ribeye steak and the camera man ordered a fillet steak.
The onion flower was huge. It tasted like the best onion ring I’ve ever had. The crisp and the crunch was bang on. It looked impressive too.
Then my ribeye came, which was the ultimate test. Everything here is done on the grill. My ribeye was served with butter sauce and king prawns with a side of broccoli.
I cut the steak, it was like butter. It had been cooked to perfection.
I’m not normally a fan of sauce with steak but the butter sauce really complimented the steak. The sauce itself was phenomenal.
The camera man had a fillet steak which was cut into three and grilled, served with asparagus.
I had been tempted by the dessert menu which includes my favourite dessert- tiramisu - but I had already devoured the steak.
Three Flames is on another level. It’s up there with the best steakhouses I’ve ever been to.
