We were all captivated by Ex-Rhinos star Sir Kev’s marathon efforts to raise millions of pounds in support of the MND Association.

And now the money ring-fenced for motor neurone disease research - £500,000 - from the seven in seven marathon challenge has been doubled after medical research charity, LifeArc, agreed to match it.

Every day in the UK, six people are diagnosed with the disease.

This is a welcome boost towards researching the cruel condition and the battle is far from over as the teammates continue to try to raise awareness.
