Rob’s cruel diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease it is a plight that has pulled on the heart strings of the entire nation.

We were all captivated by Ex-Rhinos star Sir Kev’s marathon efforts to raise millions of pounds in support of the MND Association.

And now the money ring-fenced for motor neurone disease research - £500,000 - from the seven in seven marathon challenge has been doubled after medical research charity, LifeArc, agreed to match it.

Leeds Rhinos legend Rob is enduring the fight of his life and sadly he is not alone.

Every day in the UK, six people are diagnosed with the disease.

This is a welcome boost towards researching the cruel condition and the battle is far from over as the teammates continue to try to raise awareness.
