A new chapter for Leeds 2023 with ambitious culture plan for every corner of the city - YEP comment
We know Leeds is full of bright sparks who are doing their bit to support their communities and neighbourhoods.
And we’ve needed those people more than ever to offer a shining ray of light during a truly difficult and dark year.
Today the city is calling on those amazing cultural champions to step into the spotlight ahead of the year-long celebration of culture for 2023.
In a bold vision the team behind Leeds 2023 are aiming to unlock opportunities for people across the city to be part of the celebration to uncover the hidden, unconventional, unusual stories and unsung heroes who make Leeds, Leeds.
It is time for our city to start rewriting its narrative as we continue our journey out of lockdown and celebrate the little things that have helped us through these tough times.
And it is fantastic to see that people from all neighbourhoods and walks of life are being given the chance to help shape the next chapter in our city’s rich and vibrant history.
