One taken to hospital after five engines attend fire at Seacroft flat

A person was taken to hospital in an ambulance after a fire in a flat in Leeds.

West Yorkshire Fire Service were called at around 4.20pm on Monday to a fire in a flat on Hansby Avenue in Seacroft.

Five engines attended, including two from Killingbeck, one from Moortown, one from Leeds and the aerial ladder platform from Bradford Fire Station.

The fire was out when the crews arrived and one person was taken to hospital in an ambulance.

The fire crews left the scene at 4.45pm.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 16.23 hours yesterday, Monday 8 March, to reports of a fire in a property on Hansby Avenue in Seacroft.

"Five fire engines attended, two from Killingbeck Fire Station, one from Moortown, one from Leeds and the aerial ladder platform from Bradford Fire Station.

"The fire was out on arrival. One person was taken to hospital by ambulance.

"Crews left at 16.45."
