The University of Leeds looked very different without the frontage of the Parkinson Building in this pre-1951 view with the huge St. George’s Field Cemetery in the background.

If you had been landing at Leeds Bradford Airport in 1964 your window view would have been something like this with the new runway under construction and in 1975 a plane gave the best view of the aftermath of the Kirkgate market fire.
