The Royal Mail has launched a new series of stamps celebrating some of Britain’s great humanitarians – with one including the founder of Sue Ryder Wheatfields hospice, Lady Sue Ryder. The late Lady Ryder founded the Sue Ryder Foundation in 1947 to help people after the Second World War.

Heidi Travis, chief executive at Sue Ryder, said: “The work Lady Ryder undertook has helped millions of people and we aim to continue that legacy.”
