Nearly 300 homes across Leeds without power due to unplanned outages

Richmond Hill, Adel and Cookridge have been affected, according to Northern Powergrid.

In LS9, 190 houses have been affected, with power not expected to return until after 2pm.

Power to 40 houses in Adel is expected to return at a similar time.

In Cookridge, 60 homes have been affected, where the power is expected to be back on at noon.

Each area has been hit by a similar problem.

"The power cut affecting your property has been caused by an unexpected problem with the cables or equipment that serve your area," Northern Powergrid said.

"Our team are working hard to restore your power as quickly as possible."
