Musical heads to Leeds fish and chips restaurant
Diners will be able to enjoy fish and chips with a side order of UK grime and brass music this month.
#ChipShopTheMusical, which is set in a Yorkshire fish and chip shop, is heading to Wetherby Whaler’s Guiseley restaurant, the original Harry Ramsden’s restaurant, on June 23.
The performance will be the final enactment of the show written by Emma Hill as part of the Yorkshire Festival, an 18-day celebration of the arts which sees shows, events and exhibitions held across the region.
Phillip Murphy, co-owner of the Wetherby Whaler, said: “#ChipShopTheMusical is a really unique production and a fantastic underdog story.”
