Motorway roadworks for the week ahead

A series of planned roadworks could cause delays for motorists travelling on major roads across the region next week.

Highways England said the following roadworks were lined up for Yorkshire motorways and major A roads between Monday, June 13 and Sunday, June 19.

M1 junction 30 to junction 31 Aston: The southbound entry slip road at junction 30 will be fully closed overnight on Monday 13 June. The closures are for works on the smart motorways. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 32 Thurcroft to junction 35a Stocksbridge: The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. The northbound carriageway will be closed between junction 35a to junction 36 overnight on Tuesday 14 June. The northbound exit slip road at junction 34 will be fully closed overnight on Friday 17 June. The northbound entry slip road at junction 35 will be fully closed overnight on Friday 17 June. The northbound entry slip road will be fully closed overnight on Thursday 16 June. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit until the project is completed in winter 2016. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 37 Barnsley: The southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight for five nights from Monday 13 June. The closures are for resurfacing works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 junction 39 Denby Dale to junction 42 (M62 interchange): The southbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight between junction 40 to junction 39 for five nights from Monday 13 June. The northbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight between junction 39 to junction 40 for three nights from Friday 17 June, the closures will take place between Friday 8pm to 9am and Saturday and Sunday 8pm to 10am. The northbound entry slip road at junction 39 will be fully closed from 9am to 8pm Saturday 18 June and 10am to 8pm Sunday 19 June. The northbound carriageway will be fully closed from junction 40 to junction 41 overnight for four nights from Monday 13 June. Drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. In addition to this during the day Saturday and Sunday there will only be two lanes running northbound and southbound. All closures are for carriageway works such as waterproofing and bridge works.

M62 junction 25 to junction 26 Chain Bar: The eastbound carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads at junction 25 and the carriageway reduced to a single lane from junction 25 to junction 26 overnight for four nights from Tuesday 14 June for gantry painting works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 26 Bradford (M606 interchange): There will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit in place until a project to add an extra lane to the roundabout at the junction is completed in autumn 2016. The slip roads and roundabout will be reduced to a single lane overnight, between 7pm and 6am, from Monday 13 June for five nights.

M62 junction 27 to junction 28 Tingley: The eastbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight on Monday 13 June for technology works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am.

M62 junction 32 Castleford: The eastbound carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads at junction 32 overnight for five nights from Monday 13 June for bridge joint works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 33 Ferrybridge: “The eastbound carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads overnight for two nights from Tuesday 14 June for bridge works. The westbound carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads overnight for four nights from Thursday 16 June for bridge works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 27 to M621 junction 1 Beeston: The clockwise link from the M62 eastbound onto the M621 will be fully closed overnight for five nights from Monday 13 June for electrical works. The anti-clockwise carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for five nights from Monday 13 June for electrical works.

M621 junction 7 to junction 4 Hunslet: The anti-clockwise carriageway will be fully closed overnight for five nights from Monday 13 June for gantry works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62/A162 junction 33 Ferrybridge: The A162 will be fully closed until July 2016 for bridge work. The closures will take place 24/7, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion route.

A1M junction 38 to junction 37 Marr: The southbound side of the carriageway will be fully closed overnight for two nights from Thursday 16 June for barrier works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A1M junction 34 to junction 35 Wadworth: The northbound side of the carriageway will be fully closed overnight for two nights from Thursday 16 June for barrier works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A616 Westwood to Deepcar: The westbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight for three nights from Monday 13 June for resurfacing works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A64 Fulford to Askham Bryan: There will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit until work on the bridge joint is completed in July 2016. The eastbound side of the A road will be fully closed overnight for seven nights from Monday 13 June. The westbound side of the A road will be fully closed overnight on Monday 13 June. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A180/A160 Immingham, Humberside: There will be narrow lanes on the A180 and A160 along with a 50mph speed limit while work takes place to improve access to the Port of Immingham, including upgrading the A160 to a dual carriageway The project is due to be completed in autumn 2016. The westbound exit slip road and eastbound entry slip road at Brocklesby Interchange will be closed until autumn 2016.
