Monster entertainment as Harewood House motor show marks 21st year

Hundreds of vehicles adorned the spectacular grounds of the estate as the Father’s Day event celebrated its 21st year.
Among the treats on show was a 1943 Dodge WC51 Weapons Carrier used in the Second World War during the Normandy campaign. The truck was badly damaged and rebuilt in an annexed Mercedes Benz factory being run by the US Army. Its owner Richard Hulme restored the vehicle, which had been imported as a non-runner.

A Mclaren 12C Spyder, the convertible version of McLaren’s supercar, was also on show. The event this year paid tribute to the Land Rover Defender which is due to go out of production in its current form at the end of this year.
The show featured classic cars as well as a selection of stands for motor dealers from the region.
