Miles of smiles for new Leeds dental clinic
There were miles of smiles as a ground-breaking new dental health clinic has been officially opened by Miss Leeds.
IMI Clinic Leeds is thought to be the only place in the UK to offer the revolutionary treatment for periodontal disease by using Perioblast technology. Lead researcher and clinician Dr Francesco Martelli said: “Currently periodontal disease is managed rather than treated. Existing methods are ineffective for wiping out the disease and long term treatment often results in the unnecessary removal of teeth.
“Periodontal disease is much more than an oral health problem, it’s an overall health time bomb.”
