A public attraction has been forced to close its doors to day after a HUGE blaze a nearby building supplies unit caused severe damage to its property.
One hundred firefighters tackled the blaze on Moor Road in Hunslet, at a building supplies unit thought to be a timber yard.
Nearby Middleton Railway also had one carriage 'severely damaged' in the fire. They have decided to close to the public today.
They wrote on their Facebook page: "Further to the earlier message regarding the fire on neighbouring premises overnight we can now confirm that following discussions with the fire service the railway will be closed to the public today and no trains will be operating. We apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment caused.
"We can confirm that one of our non-passenger carrying vehicles has suffered severe damage but the coaches are safe and we expect to be open as usual next weekend."
