But staff at Leeds’ Woodland Farm centre on York road are committed to giving their residents the best life possible during their stay. The rehoming centre currently has 33 residents up for adoption from all walks of life, from sprightly spaniels to greying greyhounds, along with a number of unique crossbreeds.

The pooches enjoy daily activity sessions to suit their needs, from long walks in the fields to cuddling sessions on the sofa. “We have absolutely amazing volunteers” said Kevin Johnson, canine carer. “Their help is invaluable, and frees up our carers to do more activities and training with the dogs.
