A man has been found dead after police received calls concerning his welfare.

West Yorkshire Police were called to a flat in York Road in Osmonthorpe at about 2pm on Tuesday, April 6.

The caller had raised concerns for a man's welfare.

Officers went to the flat and found the man had died.

There were no suspicious circumstances.

A WYP spokesman said: "At 2.05pm yesterday, police received a call raising concerns for a man living at a flat in York Road, Osmondthorpe.

"Officers attended the property and found the man dead inside. There were no suspicious circumstances and the Coroner’s Office has been informed."
