Traffic officers and the air ambulance are currently on the scene.

West Yorkshire Police have now released a new update.

However, significant delays are expected in the area.

"Lane 3 is now open.

"Lane 1 and 2 are likely to be closed for some considerable time.

"There may be some delays and we thank the public for their patience whilst we deal with this incident."

Highways England earlier said: "The M62 is closed westbound J31-J30 due to a collision.

"Emergency Services, including West Yorkshire Police are in attendance. An Air Ambulance has left scene.

"Delays are likely on the approach to this closure, with additional journey times also expected on diversion routes.
