Part of the M1 near Wakefield was closed this afternoon as police dealt with an incident on a bridge.
Police were called to reports of concern for the safety of a man who was on a bridge over the M1 between junctions 40 and 41 shortly after 2.30pm this afternoon.
The road was temporarily closed while officers dealt with the incident.
The man was taken to safety at 3.19pm, with the road reopening shortly afterwards.
