Light Up A Life Appeal: Tree set to sparkle for Leeds loved ones

families and friends across Leeds are set to remember their loved ones this Christmas with the Yorkshire Evening Post's Light Up A Life Appeal.

The annual appeal, which is now in its 34th year, will see hundreds of lights twinkle in memory of someone special.

People across the city are being invited to sponsor a light on a Christmas tree at The Light Shopping Centre.

And the names of those with lights dedicated to them will be listed on a roll of honour, which will take pride of place in the courtyard by the tree for the entire festive period.

A special carol service will be hosted at the shopping centre in memory of loved ones on Wednesday, December 7 at 6pm.

Donations for Light Up A Life go towards the YEP’s long-running Half and Half Appeal for the Leeds’ two hospices – St Gemma’s and Sue Ryder Wheatfields.
