Let the games begin as Roxy opens in Leeds' northern quarter

Roxy ballroom is opening another site in Leeds.

A big shout out to all the Leeds ballers… It’s game time.

I can exclusively reveal that from the beginning of June, the Roxy team are bringing their unique brand of gaming magic to a third site in Leeds, having taken over the old Bar Soba unit on Merrion Street.

You can expect beer pong party heaven downstairs, whilst upstairs will feature a second bar, shuffleboards, pool tables, ping pong and a basketball arcade game, making it perfect for private parties and all the retro gamers out there.

You’ll also find an American inspired food menu packed with pizzas, burgers, nachos and other calorific treats for those nights when diets can take a hike. I’m already a huge fan of the thriving Northern Quarter, and the arrival of Roxy is only going to add a different kind of party to the area.

I caught up with operations director John Crowe, who had this to say: “Our new Roxy Ball Room will be adding to the Rock and Indie vibe Merrion Street is famous for. We envisage drinkers of Leeds taking full advantage of beer pong tables in the downstairs area of the venue until the early morning, rocking out to great tunes, drinking great beer and having a great time.”
