Northern Ballet commenced its Spring 2016 tour with Swan Lake opening in Leeds last night and running until March 12, followed by Sheffield from March 15 to 19.

Mr Nixon, who has been artistic director at Northern Ballet since 2001, said there was an ongoing interest by choreographers to ‘reinvent this iconic ballet and to find new meanings and adaptations’.
