David Austin. Leeds: tosh! The best pork pies in the world come from Skipton. Go to Stanforth’s celebrated pork pie establishment there. Yummy!

Donna Place. S Meays butchers in Yeadon, their pork pies are the best, wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Martin Hardaker. Wilson’s pork pies are the best in Leeds.

Sean Hanley. Hoffmann’s pork pies Wakefield are the best.

Nicholas Harrison. S Meay’s, without any doubt the best. Bentley’s in Pudsey also excellent.

Chris Schofield. Pieminster on the corner opposite Corn Exchange.

Tim Bimson. Pound bakery...can’t beat it.

Jack Strong. The Hop does pie, peas and a pint for a fiver.

Clare Hirst. Wilson’s butchers at Crossgates make delicious pork pies and I don’t even like pork pies! My six-year-old daughter would have one over chocolate or sweets any day - if I tell her I’ve been she gets so excited.

Elaine Ackroyd. Samuel Valentine’s in Allerton Bywater definitely have the best pork pies and such a varied selection too and their steak pies are gorgeous...much better than Wilson’s these days, who my dad used to swear by.

Tracey Anne Lockwood. Stephenson’s Butchers, Wortley - best pork pies in Leeds.

Ann-Marie Reed. I will only eat pork pies from Wilson’s butchers Crossgates, don’t even like the things but I can eat theirs.

Chris Binns. Best pies - not in Leeds but it’s Chamleys pie shop, Station Road, Steeton near Keighley.

Carrie-Anne Greening. Bentley’s Butchers Pudsey...without a doubt the best pork pies around. You need to eat one to judge the taste; the amount of work that goes into these beauties. They taste sensational and are not badly priced.

Helen Hindhaugh. I have lived in Northumberland now for 20 years but lived in Seacroft, when I come and visit family I always go to Crossgates and get a dozen to bring home from Wilson’s, they are the best pies ever. They don’t do pork pies up here like we do.

Claire Goulding. Howgate and Richard Farrar butchers at Woodlesford. Choice of pies but I do like theirs!

David Sheppard. The Pork Pie shop on the bridge in Skipton.

Paul Bean. Stephenson’s Wortley. Hot or cold the pork pies are delicious.

Pauline Deegan. Dawson’s of Brayton, delicious old fashioned pies.
