This week we asked the #Leedsrecommends community to nominate their favourite bakeries in the region. Whether you like bread, cakes or pastries, these artisan offerings will delight baked goods fans.

Babs Hind. Murton’s in Headingley - the best and certainly the cheapest.

Colton Juniors FC. The Village Bakery in Rawdon.

Martin Walker. There’s a bakery in Horsforth on Alexandra Road, the Artisan Bakery on North Lane in Headingley and the village bakery in Bramhope.

Kelly Stephenson. Thomas Dawes, lovely bread and homemade pies.

The Main Deal. Dumouchel Garforth is the best bakery in Leeds, so many choices and so many products made from bread. Artisan baking at its best.

Donna Hendrickson. Cottage Bakery in Woodlesford, it’s amazing. I’ve been going for over 25 years.

No-Title Mag Nadine. The Urban Bakery Co. is amazing, ace bread and super-duper tasty cake.

Max Mason. The Lidget Lane Larder sells lovely bread. And the Street Lane Bakery in Moortown.

Kathryn Needham. The Sunshine Bakery in Chapel Allerton has great cakes and brownies.

Giselle Milner. Grantham’s family bakery in Batley and Mirfield, and also Brighouse and Elland markets. Best vanillas in Yorkshire and a bread baked fresh every morning.
