Leeds pub death: What we know after man pronounced dead

A man has died after being found with serious injuries at a pub in Leeds.

Here's what we know so far about the death yesterday:

Police cordon

Officers were called to the Old Red Lion Pub, on the A64 York Road at Whinmoor, at around 11am yesterday (Monday).

Police found a 32-year-old man with serious injuries when they arrived.

An extensive cordon was put in place, with tape surrounding the pub, while investigators were on scene.

Death

Yesterday afternoon, police issued a statement which said the man had died.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman told the YEP: "At 11am today, police were called to the Old Red Lion pub, in York Road, where a 32-year-old man had been found with serious injuries.

"He was pronounced dead a short time later."

'Not suspicious'

Following the death of the 32-year-old man, police have said they are not treating the death as suspicious.

A police spokesman added: "The death is not being treated as suspicious and the Coroner's Office has been informed."
