Leeds nostalgia: 1926 Tercentenary

Back in 1926 Leeds was celebrating its Tercentenary and the city was festooned with bunting.

The outside of the Majestic was no exception and an incredible medieval castle was erected across Kirkgate.

Appleyard’s Motor showroom was bedecked with garlands and wreaths and crowds gathered to look at the superbly decorated Town Hall.
