Leeds newsagents goes tongue-in-cheek for Valentine's Day

Carol's in Wortley is displaying an A-board outside the Oldfield Road paper shop with some words of wisdom.

It reads:

'Don't have a Valentine? Some people don't have a mother on Mother's Day or a father on Father's Day. It's not the end of the world - suck it up, buttercup!

'You won't be ripped off by overpriced flowers or silly stuffed bears holding a heart - pfft. Just get yourself a bottle of fizz or a pack of beers from me.'
