Leeds indie rockers Kaiser Chiefs are set to go wild in the country

The band today announced five dates in spectacular woodland settings as part of a concert series promoted by the Forestry Commission.

Their closest date to home will see them playing Dalby Forest near Pickering in North Yorkshire on Sunday, June 26.

The other venues in the Forest Live series are Westonbirt Arboretum in Gloucestershire, Bedgebury Pinetum in Kent, Delamere Forest in Cheshire and Cannock Chase Forest in Staffordshire.

Kaisers frontman Ricky Wilson said: “As a band we’ve always loved to play outdoors, we’ve done fields, parks, farms, rooftops, beaches and back gardens, but this will be the first time we’ve played in a forest.

“If you go down to the woods this summer, you’re sure of a big surprise.

“We’re really looking forward to being part of Forest Live.”

Tickets for the shows go on sale this Friday at 9am, priced £38.50 plus £4.35 booking fee.
