The 5,000 sq ft facility will sit in the Kiln Park area of Allerton Bywater’s Millennium Village, offering more than 80 child places.

The Just Childcare group has acquired a 0.55-acre plot at Kiln Park for what will be its first new-build nursery in the UK.

David Johnson, co-founder of Just Childcare, said: “Kiln Park is a fantastic new location for us to build our first purpose-built nursery in Yorkshire.

“We are pleased to have been able to buy the site which is a rare opportunity in the Leeds area.”

Kiln Park is a joint venture partnership between Priority Space and HG Holdings that will eventually comprise more than 20,000 sq ft of commercial accommodation, including eight industrial and three retail units.

Priority Space’s Adam Richardson said: “We are delighted to have agreed a sale with Just Childcare which is a well-regarded nursery group.

“The facility is perfect for the site providing an attractive amenity for new occupiers as well as the local residential area.

“This will boost interest already shown by potential occupiers looking to purchase their own premises within the Leeds area.

“Indeed, we are close to agreeing terms on four of the eight industrial units with unprecedented market demand.”

Allerton Bywater’s Millennium Village was only the second scheme of its kind to be developed in the UK.

The former mining area has been transformed, with nearly 600 new homes being built.

The commercial developments are regarded as an important phase of the regeneration of a site that has easy access to the motorway network.

Kiln Park’s industrial units suit light manufacturing, warehouse and possible office uses.
