Leeds Bradford Airport reveals 2030 masterplan

WE'RE really going places '“ that was the message from bosses at Leeds Bradford Airport today after they unveiled a bold vision for the next decade and beyond.

The Route To 2030 masterplan sets out ambitious proposals for the site including a new hotel, a larger terminal building, a science innovation park and improved road and rail connections.

Should the privately-owned airport expand in line with the projections contained within the masterplan, then it will help deliver thousands of new jobs and contribute hundreds of millions of additional pounds to the regional economy by 2030.

Leeds Bradford chief executive John Parkin said the wide-ranging blueprint supported the airport’s stated aim of connecting Yorkshire with the rest of the world. A public consultation process that will play a part in the future development of the plan was launched yesterday (Feb 3) and is scheduled to run until the end of next month.

Masterplan aims to usher in a bright era
