Kirkstall Road crash: Two injured as blocked road causes traffic chaos

Two people have been injured in a crash in Kirkstall Road which partially blocked the road and caused traffic chaos.

Police were called at 11.30am today (Saturday) to the car crash involving a black Audi and a blue Ka.

A man and a woman suffered minor injuries and were treated by ambulance staff at the scene.

The collision caused disruption on the roads, with AA Traffic and Travel News reporting: "Partially blocked and very slow traffic due to accident on A65 Kirkstall Road both ways at Viaduct Road."

First Bus has also issued a service update which advised that services 33 and 34 are subject to delays in the area.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has any dashcam footage to get in touch on 101 quoting log number 714 of June 5.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called at 11:30 today (5 June) to reports of a road traffic collision on Kirkstall Road, Leeds.

"The collision involved two cars, a black Audi and a blue Ka.

"A man and a woman suffered minor injuries and were treated by ambulance staff at the scene.

"The collision caused disruption on the nearby roads.

"Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any dashcam footage is asked to contact the police via 101 quoting log number 714 of 5 June."
