Kids get in the running at Pudsey 10k race

HUNDREDS of runners of all ages put their best foot forward in the Sainsbury's Pudsey 10k.

Around 800 fundraisers got in the running for the sold-out event, which also included two fun runs.

Youngsters got involved in a 400m fun run followed by a 2.75km family fun run, before the main event – the Pudsey 10k race.

Participant Geoff Webber-Cross said on Twitter: “Really enjoyed it – even the hills.

“Fantastic marshalling and great goodie bag.”

Nicola Barnett said: “That was a goody but a toughie. Smashing marshals and really well organised.”

Josie Davis said: “Wow! Pudsey 10k was the hardest 10k I’ve ever done! Totally not expecting that!”

Organisers Pudsey Pacers said they hope the event will help raise £2,000 for Marie Curie Cancer care and children’s charity PhysCap.
