Iceland confirms new Leeds city centre store

The new £1 million store will open at the Leeds Merrion Centre in spring 2019 on the site of the former Poundworld shop and will see 25 jobs created.

The firm says the new store will feature a more modern and appealing store layout and design, a new style of fascia and frontage, digital signage, LED

lighting, improved in-store navigation, and new checkouts that will be quicker and easier to use for both customers and staff alike.

The new concept store will also carry a wider product range than older Iceland stores, with an expanded offer across all ranges from frozen and chilled food to fresh fruit and vegetables, food cupboard staples,

and beers, wines and spirits.

Iceland’s unique home delivery service will also provide free delivery of any in-store purchases of £25 or more, making shopping within the heart of Leeds even easier for the Merrion Centre’s 11.5m visitors

per year.
